Sustain Value has developed and provided training to numerous companies and business associations - including to many financial institution delegates.
Drawing upon our project experience, we have delivered several training sessions on nature-related disclosure frameworks such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Our bespoke training sessions include an overview of the requirements and how they apply to the client, and a review of the best data tools available to obtain the relevant information to meet them.
We have also provided training on how to apply the Natural Capital Protocol and the IFC Performance Standards (especially PS6 on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services). This included a four-day natural capital training course for businesses and investors in Abu Dhabi (through the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group); two-day courses for the Chilean Mining Council and a US extractive company; and many half and one-day courses on natural capital and IFC PSs. Often the courses include undertaking rapid high level natural capital assessments provided by, and through discussion with, the delegates.
